Presenting Lynn Nottage

Pulitzer Prize-Winning playwright and author of Ruined, recently at New York City Center, will be the featured speaker at the event. Nottage believes it is her “social responsibility” to shine a light on issues and situations that advocate dignity, justice and freedom. She is a recipient of the MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant.” Her presentation promises to leave the audience inspired and passionate about the YWCA’s mission.

A women’s inspiration often comes from another woman in her life... her mother, sister, friend, or peer. In its ongoing efforts to empower women and eliminate racism, the YWCA White Plains and Central Westchester will host its second annual “In the Company of Women” luncheon. Last May’s highly acclaimed event drew nearly 500 diverse and successful women (and a few good men!) from across Westchester County and beyond to become one of the premiere women’s networking events in the region.

See the links to the right for more information on the event and how you can get involved!

Or, call the events office at (914) 949-6227 ext 147.

We had great turn out for our  May 7, 2010 Event. View photos here...
